Top Engineering Honors Go to Inventors of Pacemaker and Internet

Four engineers who created the Internet are recipients of the National Academy of Engineering's 2001 Charles Stark Draper Prize. Earl Bakken and Wilson Greatbatch have won the new Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ Prize for inventing the first human heart pacemaker.
