practical applications of math, science and engineering.
National
Engineers Week Future City Competition®: Engineer-volunteers help
seventh and eighth grade students design and build computer generated cities of the 21st
century. Winners of local contests compete in Washington during National Engineers Week.
Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day: Engineers reach K-12 girls with positive messages about math and science education and engineering careers. Officially the Thursday of Engineers Week, but participation date is flexible.
ZOOM Into Engineering:
Engineers work with a toolkit developed by EWEEK and WGBH-TV, Boston, to take an exciting engineering program to 6- to 11-year-olds, helping them develop problem-solving skills and an interest in engineering. |
