Are there differences in how women become engineers in Canada from how they become engineers in the United States?

Since I didn't study in the United States, I can't really say if there are differences. However, to become an engineer in Canada, these are generally the steps:

- Go to a post-secondary institution that has an engineering program and obtain a B.Sc. in Engineering. Sometimes you can take your first couple of years at a local college and then transfer to a university.

- Register with a provincial engineering professional organization as a member-in-training.

- After 4 years of engineering experience, you can apply to become a Professional Engineer.
