According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers’ Fall 2003 Salary Survey, engineering was one of the most frequent type of jobs offered to new graduates, as well as having the highest starting salary. Below are the top 10 jobs offered and their salaries, ranked by number of offers reported:

2. Accounting - $40,647
3. Business Administration/Management - $36,012
2. Marketing/Marketing Research - $34,038
3. Mechanical Engineering - $48,585
4. Civil Engineering - $41,669
5. Electrical/Electronics & Communications Engineering - $49,794
6. Chemical Engineering - $52,384
7. Computer Science - $47,109
8. Elementary Teacher Education - $29,702
