For
Our International Visitors
Since you
found www.eweek.org and this
section, you must be interested in engineering and
National Engineers Week!
National
Engineers Week 2009 will be celebrated February 15-21. National Engineers Week celebrates the
positive contributions engineers make to our quality
of life and helps create the future engineering and
technology work force by promoting pre-college
interest in math, science and technical literacy.
National Engineers Week is supported at the national
level by the participation of more than 75
engineering, education and minority organizations.
At the local level, we engage hundreds of
organizations and tens of thousands of
volunteers.
National
Engineers Week headquarters is interested in
learning about Engineers Week or similar activities
outside the United States.
Engineering
organizations in other countries contact National
Engineers Week headquarters to learn how to
establish similar programs, perhaps using our model.
At the same time, many of our U.S.-based partners
are increasingly interested in making Engineers Week
programs accessible to their sites outside the
U.S.
We realize
that engineering is a global venture that can be
celebrated worldwide. We would like to lay the
groundwork for National Engineers Week to
“connect” outside the United
States.
Please take
a moment to complete and return this brief
questionnaire. If you are aware of other
organizations – within or outside the U.S.
– that would be appropriate to complete this
survey, please send it to them.
We would
appreciate your response by February 1, 2009.
