As a Supplier Program Manager for Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Strategic Work Placement (SWP) team, Adriana oversees activities currently in place with external suppliers and internal partners to meet BDS SWP commitments. She also coordinates with BDS Supplier Management, Business Development, Industrial Participation, Supplier Diversity, Government Relations, Operations and Programs in identifying, assessing and placing work packages that align to business strategies. Adriana’s most recent prior position was Supplier Program Manager for the Manned Ground Vehicles (MGV) of the Army Brigade Combat Team Modernization (BCTM) Program. In this role, Adriana was responsible for establishing a sub-tier supplier management plan and metric, insuring supplier management best practices were followed. She actively monitored, tracked and reported sub-tier supplier source selection activity, post award performance and supplier impact on net value. Adriana was also the Lean and the Affordability focal for the MGV Integrated Product Team. Before transitioning into Supplier Management, Adriana was the Manager of Production Operations Assessment, where she was the best practice focal for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and 5S for St. Louis Operations. She was also responsible for the implementation of ISO 9001 in Manufacturing and for reviewing the Corrective Action Requests from the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). In this role, Adriana facilitated continuous process improvements within Manufacturing. In 2006, Adriana was selected by the IDS Operations Council to participate in the Leadership Experiences Program (LEP). The objective of this three-year program is to ensure Boeing maintains its operational effectiveness by cultivating leaders and planning for the next generation of Leadership. Adriana joined McDonnell Douglas in March 1997 as an Industrial Engineer. In that role, she supported the assembly operations of the T-45, AV8-B, F/A-18 E/F (St. Louis, MO), T-38 Modification Site (Mesa, AZ), F/A-22 (Seattle, WA), and Operations at Aero Vodochody (Czech Republic). She was also involved in the implementation of lean principles in production and became Accelerated Improvement Workshop (AIW), Production Preparation Process (3P) and Six Sigma Green Belt certified. Adriana has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia and a Master degree in Business Administration from Maryville University. She serves on the Board of the St. Louis Boeing Hispanic Employees Network (BHEN) and the National Board of Directors of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).
