Eileen has over 15 years experience in philanthropy and has led the Motorola Foundation and global Corporate Contributions for the last five years in its mission to benefit the communities in which it operates around the world, by making strategic grants, forging strong partnerships, fostering innovation, and engaging stakeholders. At Motorola Eileen started the Innovation Generation Grant program for science technology, engineering and math education in the US and leads a global effort around disaster response. She is a founding member of the National Science Advisory Committee for the Girl Scouts of the USA and a member of the National Advisory Council for the Dream Foundation. Locally, Eileen serves on the boards of Working in the Schools, Project Exploration, Victory Gardens Theater, the Women's Power Network, and is a founder of the North Lawndale College Prep Charter High School. Eileen represented U.S. business on the national steering committee for the United Nations International Year of Volunteers, 2001 and is the immediate past-Chair of The Contributions Council of the Conference Board. Eileen received a bachelor's degree in education from Loyola University and a Masters in Education from Harvard Graduate School for Education with a focus on building strategic business-education partnerships. « back |
