Topic: Women in Science and Technology Srividya Kailasam obtained her Masters degree in Chemistry and Ph D in Analytical chemistry from IIT (Madras). After working in industry and academia for a few years she went to United States to pursue post doctoral fellowship. Over the next four and a half years she worked on various spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques at different universities and at US Environmental Pollution Agency laboratory in Las Vegas. She returned to India in July of 2007 to join Agilent Technologies. Presently she works as an application scientist in the Life Sciences Solutions Unit of Agilent at Whitefield Bangalore. Her responsibilities include developing applications on the state of the art LC triple quadrupole mass spectrometer and other chromatographic instrumentation. In addition to developing mass spectrometric methods for pharmaceutical compounds, Vidya enjoys reading, philately, sudoku and spending time with her many friends. « back |
