Yali LiuYali Liu is Director of Asia Pacific Network Planning and Engineering for Verizon Business. Her responsibilities include network planning, carrier management, local access (GlobaLink) support, network trading / routing management, technical facilities, transmission, voice, data, IP and VoIP network engineering, design and implementations for the Asia Pacific region.

Yali joined Verizon Business in 1995 in Texas, USA. She held various engineering and management positions in Verizon Business and supported successful rollout of ATM, Frame Relay, IP and MPLS networks in the U.S. and globally. Her last position prior to moving to Hong Kong was Director of International Network Planning where she was responsible for Verizon Business international data, IP, submarine cable systems and transmission networks planning.

Prior to joining Verizon Business, Yali worked in the IT/communications industry in the U.S. and in China including four years with IBM China as Systems Engineer.

Yali holds a B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Beijing University in China, a M.S. degree in Computer Sciences from University of Texas, and an MBA in Management Information Systems from University of Dallas in the USA. Yali holds a U.S. patent in VoIP technology and was recognized as a Distinguished Achiever in Technology by the U.S. National Women of Color Technology Awards Conference in October 2005.
