Kishiko Itoh
Kishiko Itoh is Manager of Research in Japan, Lenovo Research & Technology. Kishiko was with IBM for 22 years. Her area of expertise is mainly network software/adapter design and development, through IBM Network Hardware Division job assignment. She saw two big changes in the industry during her career. One is network adapter integration into notebook computers. The other one is the surge of the internet age. She joined ThinkPad BIOS development team in 1999 and has developed Mobile/PC Engineering Software (BIOS and embedded controller microcode) skill. She was promoted to the line manager in 2000, and has expanded her role not only to include technical skill but also management skill (both people management and project management). She worked on improving ThinkPad security such as Fingerprint pre-boot authentication. On May 1st, 2005, she joined Research and has been working with the new co-workers in China/the US to establish collaborations in the new Lenovo, Research & Technology.
