The international recognition is given to the young professional who made the most progress in his or her career over a certain number of years. Madhavan is currently working on improving blood circulation throughout the body with a non-invasive stimulation system.

Guru Madhavan, BU Grad student says, "One important thing that I want to mention, is that Binghamton doesn't think problems as problems but we take problems as opportunities and I think that really puts a different spin on the way we approach research."
