| National Engineers Week Presents the New Faces of Engineering. Timothy Ernster

Timothy Ernster, an engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Gulf Region Division, has managed electrical distribution projects in East Baghdad, Iraq, under difficult, exciting, and demanding conditions. He is responsible for the ongoing construction of a National Training Center that, when completed, will serve as a hub for developing the technical skills for Ministry of Electricity technical personnel.
Mr. Ernster is currently guiding to completion two substations that will provide electricity to 2.5. million residents of the Sadr City district in East Baghdad. His engineering and leadership are helping to make large and lasting contributions to the quality of life for millions of Iraqi people.
Mr. Ernster is an electrical engineering graduate of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
