Engineers Nominated by ASME (formerly the American Society of Mechanical Engineers)
Christopher M. Reischman
Chris Reischman, a project engineer with CH2M HILL TRIGON in Lakewood, Colorado, is a key asset to the energy group due to his ability to work in all aspects of pipeline engineering from the actual design to coordination of the other disciplines to ensure successful project completion. As a project engineer on a recent pipeline project, he proved his value by preventing the project from overrunning cost and schedule. He was recently promoted to a lead pipeline engineer and took on more management responsibility to not only provide technical and professional support, but also manage resource scheduling for pipeline engineering and design projects.
Beyond his work for piping projects, Reischman acts as a resource for Douglas County School District teachers to prepare and organize field trips and activities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a second bachelor’s degree in business administration, both from the University of Kansas.

Jennifer Spadafora
Jennifer Spadafora, a flight test engineer at The Boeing Company in Seattle, Washington, completed a value stream project on the 737-900ER interiors to improve customer satisfaction and quality of the interior door linings. Her flight test responsibilities on the Boeing 787 program involved airplane weight, center of gravity and fuel burning control, as well as crew safety focus. Prior to her work at Boeing, Spadafora worked as a manufacturing engineer at Abbott Vascular, where she implemented a lean process improvement on high-volume research development and commercial manufacturing lines of heart stents that reduced downtime while increasing production and productivity.
Spadafora is very active in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers where she does student outreach to local universities and organizes meetings/tours for the professional sections. She also serves on the Business Advisory Board for an area high school to implement science, technology, engineering and math into the student curriculum.
