Danilsa FernandezDanilsa Fernandez

Danilsa Fernandez is an affiliate engineer with Verizon in Valhalla, New York.

Fernandez is a graduate of The City College of New York with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.  She was listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and received numerous scholarships.  Fernandez is Secretary for her chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and is dedicated to her work helping to expose youth to the engineering and technical professions.

Emmanuel FranjulEmmanuel Franjul

Emmanuel Franjul, is a design engineer with GE Aviation, a General Electric Company in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Franjul received his Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Cornell University with a concentration in fluid dynamics/aerospace engineering.  At Cornell, he researched collisional interactions of particles suspended in Couette axisymmetric micro gravity cell at the Granular Flow Research Facility. These experiments will serve as prelude to the more comprehensive experiments to be conducted aboard the International Space Station in 2007. 

Franjul designed an unmanned aerial vehicle for topographical exploration of the Mars surface as part of Cornell University’s Odysseus Space Team.  The vehicle won first place in the 2004 NASA Revolutionary Vehicle Competition.  He is a member of the
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and has been published.

Daniel LozanoDaniel Lozano

Daniel Lozano, an operations engineer 1 with Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. a Johnson & Johnson Company, works in the process engineering group.

Lozano, a dual electrical/biomedical engineer, is actively involved in improving overall profitability and product yields by involving statistics on processes. He is involved in several projects including the installation and validation of a new glass bead drying chamber which should reduce drying time by 50%.  Other projects include trouble shooting product problems in existing products, installation and validation of a new process to provide homogeneity of solvent mixtures at low temperatures, and programming a new computerized chromatography pumping system. 

Among his many accomplishments, Lozano is undergoing Green/Black belt certification in which he is optimizing AQH values in correlation to blood plasma donor pools.  He has held various leadership positions in HOST- SHPE and received a Congressional Record by Congressman Menendez.

Jennifer MaffreJennifer Maffre

Jennifer Maffre is an engineer with Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson Company in Raritan, New Jersey.  Maffre works in the research and development division and designs and produces new medical devices within various specialties.

Maffre earned her Bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.  She is an energetic advocate for the Hispanic community and has worked with Alizana Domincana and Upward Bound. Maffre is an active member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and currently serves as the Vice President of Corporate affairs in the New Jersey Professional Chapter.
