John R. Quiocho, P.E.John R. Quiocho, P.E.

John R. Quiocho, P.E., a mechanical engineer with Progressive Design Collaborative in Raleigh, North Carolina, designs hydronic systems.

Quiocho is continuously searching for new design concepts and technology that will enhance the system performance, building conditions, and improve the overall equipment efficiency and lower operating costs.  In one recent project for a high school, Quiocho’s design included a sequence of operation to control the amount of outdoor air with the level of Carbon Dioxide, also know as Demand Control Ventilation (DCV).  This will allow the school to take advantage of up to 35% in energy cost saving.

Quiocho currently serves as the Triangle Chapter President of ASHRAE where he has assisted in the growth of membership.
