Lisa M. (Budin) Strassle

Lisa M. (Budin) Strassle, a senior engineer for ConocoPhillips in Houston, Texas, helps find solutions for the world’s vast and growing energy needs.  Most of Strassle’s work has focused on improving processes to turn natural gas, found in remote reservoirs, into a liquid phase, which is easier and cheaper to transport to populated areas with higher energy demands.

Strassle holds three patents in the art of oxidative dehydration as a result of her work in lab-scale testing of oxidative dehydrogenation of alkanes, partial oxidation and production of carbon filaments.  Her most recent assignment involves process engineering for licensing projects that utilize ConocoPhillips’ proprietary Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) technology.  LNG is becoming an energy bridge between unconnected regional gas markets and an increasingly global gas market.
