Ghaith
Rabadi
Ghaith Rabadi,
assistant professor with the Department of Engineering Management and
Systems Engineering at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, conducts
research for NASA.
NASA expects
that the demand to carry payloads into space will increase. NASA needs
to know the best mix of launch vehicle concepts that will meet launch
dates at the minimum cost. Rabadi’s research, funded by NASA Langley
Research Center, is helping achieve that objective. He is developing a
discrete-event simulation model to estimate the total cost of accomplishing
NASA’s defined set of missions.
