Vance
D. Coffman Chairman
and CEO, Lockheed Martin 2003 Honorary Chair National Engineers Week |
| Chairman
and CEO since 1998, Vance Coffman has been with Lockheed Martin and its predecessor
Lockheed for over 30 years. In 1967 Dr. Coffman joined Lockheed's Space Systems
Division as a guidance and control systems analyst. Later, as President of the
Division, he was responsible for the Hubble Space Telescope; the MILSTAR satellite
communications program; the Follow-on Early Warning System (now called Space Based
Infrared System); and the Corporation's work on Iridium. A
member of the National Academy of Engineering, Dr. Coffman earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University and Master
and Doctoral degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University.

Donald G. Colliver

Donald G. Colliver is an associate
professor in the Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Department at the University
of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky. He has conducted extensive research in energy usage
in residences, air infiltration and ventilation, and the analysis of climatological
data for determination of design weather conditions. He has written numerous papers,
articles, and Handbook Chapters and developed several weather analysis design
tools. Dr. Colliver
earned BS and MS degrees from the University of Kentucky and a Ph.D. from Purdue
University in Agricultural Engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer
in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and an ASHRAE Fellow and Distinguished Service
Award recipient. Read
