North America
The Global Marathon will begin in the North America region. Meet Norma Henry, IT Chief Diversity Officer / Project Manager IT Communications at Verizon Business, and Cybelle Long, IT Diversity Council Co-Chair / CPMT Front Door Project Manager, Verizon Business. They are the Points of Contact (POC) leading the North America region for the 2008 Global Marathon.
Norma Henry, with a background in usability engineering & heuristics, and training and project management, received her MS degree in instructional technology from New York Institute of Technology, and BA in psychology and management science from Kean University. Cybelle Long, with a background in project management, international business, and information technology, received her master's in international marketing from the University of Maryland, and BA in French from Ithaca College. Verizon Business kicks off our global event with a live Webcast and in-person audience, including a panel discussion and live links to women in other parts of the world who emphasize that "You Can Do It." The kick-off event will encourage high school and college women to imagine their futures. The Webcast is followed by presentations from television shows and a variety of outreach programming.
