Why Tyco Electronics supports Engineers Week Dr. Juergen Gromer, Vice Chairman and President, Tyco Electronics Corporation and Honorary Chair, Engineers Week 2007: When I accepted this position, it was with the knowledge that this program has gained the trust and respect of many of our peers, employees and communities throughout the United States. I am also encouraged by the interest in the Engineers Week model beyond U.S. borders. Clearly our companies need to attract a diverse, young work force and expand globally. I have agreed to serve as Honorary Chair of Engineers Week because investing here will help meet these challenges.
